The data collected, contrary to other instances, have information at the municipal level in Brazil. The project has information on life expectancy at birth for all 5500 brazilian localities. Life expectancy is an interesting measure of social and economic development and allows one to identify regional differences in more general terms
The project provides data for Brazil, but one can also access similar information for different countries. One area of interest, is to compare the evolution of educational level in Brazil to other developed and developing countries over time.
